Savage Fantasy

Postby Captain Thark » Wed Jan 03, 2007 4:38 pm

Okay, I'm currently GMing an RPG based on Final Fantasy. It's an original game world that's hevely inspired by the games, and I'll be using Savge Worlds for the system.
I've got some Final Fantasy trappings I plan to use in it:
Summons
Airships
Chocobos
Potions
Black and White Mages
Overly large swords
Limit Breaks
Cid

So, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on things that would give it more Final Fantasy flavor, or any comments on the basic idea itself.
If this is succesful I might start posting transcripts of the sessions (or podcast them, if Panda lets us use his not-iPod).
Heck, I might share my setting rules if anyone is interested.
This sword calls me it's master, but I feel more like it's slave.

I plan on making the plot better as it goes on, I just need a really cool motivation of the Big Bad.
I've got some really cool backdrops for fights at the very least and I think my plan for Cid is pretty cool too.

You could have hurt it if you rolled 37 on a d10 Twisted Evil (for those wondering, this is indeed posible in Savage Worlds).

wow that is a high parry or toughness...
TOO high...
and i was partially right ... that is why electronic rpgs have save points on boss fights... so you can figure out what you are supposed to do...
