Support for multiple instances

Postby tsuckow » Sun May 20, 2007 8:32 pm

Background Pi now supports multiple instances. This is an advanced configuration the requires editing the configuration manualy. I plan to document it in the near future but until then, just msg me or email me at webmaster[Att]defcon1[d0T]hopto[D0t]org.

i have a question... why.
if one instance takes up to 100% CPU WHY THE HELL would you want to run 2 they would fight for the same cpu...
(or is it some clever plot to be calculating 100 ranges at extreamly slow speeds...)

Because its only taking up 100% of 1 cpu. If you have a dual cpu system it would only use 1 cpu and the other would be idle. You have to run a seperate instance for each core/cpu
