This is what I should have done. I got it like a week after it came out. I will never buy hype about a Halo game again.

Well, I'm gonna buy Halo 3 and Halo Wars when they come out respectively. I'm just that much of a whore.

Don't knock Halo Wars Panda, it's from the good folks who made the Age of Empires games. It has an extramely high chance of being good.

I've liked every RTS that Ensemble Studios has made thus far, and I've enjoyed the Halo games (not in a whorish kinda way, I'm just a Sci-Fi nerd who appreciates how cool the stuff the people at Bungie are making. And it's pretty much the one fast paced multiplayer game I have (other than HL2 DM). I prefer slower, more tactical games, but Halo is my one game where I just got bat-shit crazy. At least, when I had it...

You guys are just lucky that I'm not designing it. It might introduce something like a puzzle. ...gasp... Or some other goodies like plasma eating through your armor and doing permanent damage to it.

You ever tried the Marathon games? They're a series of FPSs Bungie made back in the early nintes. They used to be mac only, but some enterprising fans made an open source port for it. Bungie even relesed the data files to the public domain.

I played Marathon 1 for a bit, but the graphics were so horrible that I got confused as to what to do. I've also heard great things about their Myst series.

I think you mean 'Myth' the awesomely bloody RTS series. Not 'Myst' which is a rather boring adventure game series.
