Death Note? I've heard good things about it. Or Monster. That was good. If anything, check out Macross Zero. It was excellent.

The manga of Deathnote is awsome, but there's no english dub to the anime and it hasn't finished airing in japan. No english version of that macross one either.
How about Macross Plus? It's short, and it's directed by Shoji Kawamori and co-directed by Shinichiro Watanabe! With Music by Yoko Kanno! Those guys alone make it sound awsome!

Edit: Raxephon is like Eva if it didn't have any of the problems Eva has. I'd watch it again, it's really, really good.

hmm... fire fly... at an anime-ness...
i guess... weirder things have happened. but some how i think you are just never give up one getting me to see it, so i guess i'll allow it. that is if everyone agrees at the time.
a'll also see about DL ing Raxephon, and Macross Plus, i haven't seen either.
o ya i just remembered i also have gokusen (no it isn't anything like DBZ) it is really good about a school teacher who is also part of the japanese mafia... it is really entertaining.

Wait, what's an anime-ness and will you have internet access (at a broadband capacity)?

Because... http://www.tv-links.co.uk/

And I'll have to look into downloading Macross Zero. As for dubs, they are lose. Subs own dubs any day of the week.

Subs require concentration, you have to stare at the screen to understand what's going on. Dubs allow you to focus on the animation and plot, without any reading.
Plus, american voice actors can be just as good as the japanese ones, Raxephon has an amazing dub, as does cowboy bebop. Subs arn't necsarily better, I mean Escaflowne's voice acting just plain sucked in both languages.
